About Us

Bambui UK Development Association, (aka BUKDA) is a young charity working within the UK Charities framework. As a charity, BUKDA has no political or religious affiliation. At BUKDA there are no barriers of limitations based on gender, race, creed or colour.

BUKDA was formed in 2005 by a group of illustrious sons and daughters of Bambui village, the headquarters of Tubah Subdivision in Bamenda - Cameroon. Looking at our humble beginnings, and the fact that we were all miles away from home, we felt the need to begin an association of Bambuib sons and daughters in the UK.

(a) the advancement of education and training;

(b) the relief of poverty, sickness, and distress;

(c) the provision of recreational facilities in the interests of social welfare with the object of improving their conditions of life.

2. To advance the education of the public on all aspects of the Bambui history and culture.'

We are also interested in community building or community cohesion and have teamed up with various communities from diverse ethnic backgrounds not just to foster friendly, social, moral and cultural ties but also to learn from each other.

Apart from some of these activities stated above, we also do exhibitions, especially of African Art and Culture. Please, do contact us if you are a charity or a community and feel that you would like to know more about us or to work in partnership with us.
